Summer in Bemwa Farm Davao

I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with summer. Some days, I like going to the beach and soak under the heat of the sun until my skin becomes warm and toasty. And then there are days when I just want to lock myself inside an air-conditioned room until the temperature drops later in the night. But there are also days when I want to enjoy a fine summer day without dealing with the heat. My solution? I go to the highlands.

Case in point: The past two weekends, I found myself traveling to BuDa – a road where buses and private vehicles pass by as they make their way from Davao City to Bukidnon (hence the name BuDa). It is often dubbed as Davao’s own little Baguio and Tagaytay because of its cool weather. Along the way, you’ll find several mountain resorts where you can enjoy the cool breeze and scenic view of the highlands.

Davao Food: Cuppycakes Boulangerie + Bistro

The Davao food scene has been abuzz these past few months as several restaurants and coffee shops recently opened in the first half of 2016.

One of the newest dessert places and dining destinations in the city is  Cuppycakes Boulangerie + Bistro. This quaint but cozy bistro place offers a variety of burgers and sandwiches, pasta, rice meals, and of course, desserts!

A few weeks ago, they invited some bloggers to try out some of their best-sellers and I was happy enough to oblige (because food is bae).

Have a look at the gastronomic feast they had prepared for us:
