Bohol will always have a special place in my heart. It was my first travel destination back when I was just starting to earn and could finally afford a leisure trip. Fine, it was also the first out-of-town trip (that involved a plane ride) that my
boyfriend husband took a couple of years ago.
Some people say it’s a boring place. It’s a quiet, charming little town nestled in the heart of Visayas. And while I would agree that it is miles behind some of the best tourist destinations in the Philippines, Bohol has a lot of wonderful things to offer. Whether you’re a laid back traveler, or a thrill-seeker, there’s always a memorable adventure waiting for you.
Anyway, last month, my sister and I traveled to Bohol for some much needed R&R. It was her first time, so of course, we had to do all the tourist-y stuff. We booked a private countryside tour via Klook. It was a bit expensive, but at least we had a private air-conditioned car and an enthusiastic driver/tour guide who came ready with his jokes – definitely made the 7-hour tour less grueling.
Here’s a short film I did to document our entire stay in Bohol. It’s my first time doing Cinematic editing, so please bear with me.
Also, a teal and orange photo diary, because yes, I just learned how to use Adobe Lightroom. It’s never too late, guys! Never too late!
