Airplane food has gotten a bad rap in the past due to its bland taste and below standard food preparation. Seasoned travelers, especially those who jet set on long haul flights, consider the plane ride a journey on its own, and therefore wish for decent meals to be served 35,000 feet in the sky to complete the experience. Air Asia truly had this in mind when they started to offer in-flight hot meals.
Two weeks ago, I was on- board an Air Asia flight bound to Cebu to attend the airline’s Eat Fly Blog event. Bloggers and Media Practitioners from Davao and Cagayan de Oro were flown to Cebu for an afternoon of fun and a whole lot of Air Asia Hot Meals.
We sampled the airline’s bestsellers such as the Chicken Rice and the famous Malaysian Nasi Lemak. All their hot meals are served, well, hot! You can order this on both domestic and international flights.

They also offer sandwiches and desserts such as Chocolate chip cookies, Choco Banana Pound Cake, and Moist Chocolate Cake which is so divine!
