I love food. Food makes me happy. About 70% of my money is spent on food, and I don’t care even if I spend more than the ‘budget’, if only to satisfy my food cravings. Likewise, I also love showering my family with food. Every pay day, I see to it that I bring home ‘pasalubong’ to them, especially for my dad who has a sweet tooth like me. I can dine out even if I’m alone and I enjoy every bit of the moment, especially when I am seated inside a restaurant that offers nothing but foody goodness.
Last Friday, I went out to see my working girls, Kathy and Quima. The city was covered by a thick blanket of typhoon (Sendong). I almost didn’t want to push through since I was afraid that I’d be caught up by the storm somewhere down the street. But, I sure am glad I braved the typhoon and made it through the night. Surprisingly, despite the not-so-heavy rain, the city was pretty congested, and so were the shopping malls. It was Friday anyway, and pay day, and holiday rush. What do you expect?
We met at Caffé Firenzo. It was my first time to dine there, though I have always wanted to. When the opportunity presented itself (all thanks to Quima‘s CF coupons), I just had to grab it. I like the place, it’s cozy, just like how a coffee shop should be. I like the fact that they have strong wi-fi connection. I was able to surf in a breeze through my phone, which is not always the case in other places with wi-fi.

My favorite among the bunch! I love the texture and the subtleness of the cheese. I’m not a fan of the mustard dressing though.
The working girls! We’re missing Cielo Mar and Johannie Marie!
Caffé Firenzo is located at Quirino Street, Davao City. (Fronting Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas)
